The dry blasting process – also known as sandblasting – has proven particularly effective when using abrasives such as garnet or glass beads. This method is one of the most effective yet gentle ways of cleaning sensitive components in gas and steam turbines. Dust-free blasting – efficient and clean surface treatment
The dust-free blasting process is a modern form of surface treatment that uses dry blasting media such as glass beads, corundum or garnet – similar to traditional dry blasting. The key difference is that the blasting media are extracted directly during the blasting process, meaning virtually no dust is produced. This ensures a clean working environment and allows the process to be used even in sensitive areas.
Ideal for power stations and industrial test preparation
Particularly in the power station sector, dust-free blasting has proven its worth, especially for components that cannot be removed – for example, when preparing:
